Spot Guide & Local Knowledge

Located right in the central strip of Valdevaqueros, the Liam Whaley Pro Center spot has become the epicenter of modern Big Air in Tarifa. Operated by Red Bull King of the Air champion Liam Whaley, this area blends world-class sporting conditions with premium beach club lifestyle.

How the wind works here

The Levante wind enters with tremendous energy, accelerated by the funnel effect of the Strait. Being situated slightly upwind of the sand dune, the wind is exceptionally clean compared to the eastern end of the beach. With Poniente, the airflow arrives smooth and unhindered across the Atlantic.

The Big Air launch pad

This sector of the beach features a clean shoreline shelf where riders can edge against super flat water right before popping into 20-meter jumps. It is the preferred training ground for world tour athletes during the summer season.

Logistics and facilities

The facility offers shaded turf grass areas for rigging and drying kites, high-pressure air compressors, a specialized Duotone test center, and a chilled lounge bar overlooking the water.

Safety precautions and local advice

Keep clear of the launch line when pumping up, as Levante gusts can be snappy near the high-tide line. Always check that your safety leash and quick release are free of sand.
